Proposed Changes to Connecticut’s Pretreatment Program


At this meeting Ozzie” Inglese discussed changes to the Miscellaneous General Permit and the Significant Industrial Users General Permit, both of which went to public notice on Monday, January 14, 2019.

About the Presenter

Oswald “Ozzie” Inglese, Jr. has been the Director of the Department’s Water Permitting and Enforcement Division since 2003. The Division administers federal and state water pollution control and safe drinking water programs that regulate industrial, commercial and agricultural discharges, stormwater discharges, and domestic sewage discharges from large onsite subsurface disposal systems.

During Ozzie’s 29-year career with the Department, he also served in other positions in aquifer protection, landfill discharge permitting, remediation, recycling and beneficial use, and solid and hazardous waste permitting. Ozzie has a B.S. Degree in Geology and Geophysics, an M.S. Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both from UConn, and is a CT-Licensed Professional Engineer.
