October 5, 2016 Meeting - The NEW Meriden Green

Matt Sanford, Mark Arigoni, and Scott Bristol from Milone & MacBroom and Bob Bass from the City of Meriden will give a presentation on the redevelopment of the former HUB site into the Meriden Green. The Meriden Green is a 14-acre flood control/park and economic development project located in the heart of Downtown Meriden. The $14 Million project is a key component of Meriden’s downtown transformation which includes an unprecedented amount of private, local, state, and federal investment in the areas of flood control infrastructure, brownfield remediation, and transit oriented development.

The transformation included the removal of structures, the “daylighting” of approximately 1,700 linear feet of Harbor Brook as well as fish and wetland habitat creation Brooks, wetland creation, creation of walking paths, an amphitheater and multiple “great lawn” areas for civic activities.
